Rehearsing Change for Classrooms
This interactive Arts for Social Change program has an Ecuadorian and International component. Locally, we seek to provide an interactive educational experience in which Ecuadorian students use art, especially theatre, to explore their cultural identity and social conflicts. Internationally, we apply our methodology to a) bridging universities with their local communities, b) facilitating a creative dialogue among students, faculty and staff with regards to contentious issues on campus, and c) enhancing language instruction for intermediate and advanced level “Spanish as a Foreign Language” classes.
In Ecuador, this program has been predominantly carried out through the project, El Vuelo del Curiquingue. This play visits schools and universities as part of their social studies and humanities curricula.
Daniel Bryan leads our International component. Read more about his workshops, presentations and residencies.
